Hi
there. I’m Zubair. Even though it’s my middle name, that’s what I
prefer people calling me by. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Computer
Engineering. I completed my bachelors degree in Information Science and Engineering from VTU in July 2005 and came down right away. I was also on an extended internship at the Supercomputer Education and Research Center, Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore for over two years. Before that I did my schooling from La
Martiniere For Boys, Calcutta for all the 12 years and thoroughly
enjoyed every bit.
I love doing
research and I love heavy metal even more. So why am I not a rock star
but just a student? Can’t answer the question, because I do not know
the answer myself. Its odd isn’t it? I’m asking questions but I cannot
seem to answer them myself. But you tell me - out of the many questions
you pose to yourself everyday, how many can you answer? No - I’m not
mad - but people do talk to themselves right? I love writing long,
convoluted lines whenever I am writing as I believe in the old maxim -
“If you can’t convince - then confuse”. I love playing the guitar and I
know I excel at it. I played the classical guitar with one of
Calcutta’s best orchestra’s for over 5 years before I realized my love
for metal. My love of heavy metal music makes me hooked onto Metallica
for at-least 3-4 hours a day and I can safely say I am an addict.
Addicted to what ?? Your guess! My laptop wallpapers are always the
extremely grotesque metal wallpapers which I download by following
links with admirable efficiency and which make my friends comment as to
whether I am really sane or not? My IQ levels have dropped after I
started research and even though I am a metal fan (why do I keep saying
the same thing?? ) , I am an optimist. I love reading both fiction and
classics and love Formula one racing. I love my long hair and plan on
wearing it long as long it at lasts. I get carried away by company and
am always an integral part of the crowd. I love drawing “inspiration”
from sources I don’t acknowledge. I have learnt packing messages with
double meaning very well. I do lie a lot and if you are intelligent
enough you should have already guessed.
