.: welcome
Hello
and thanks for visiting. I'm a PhD student in Computer
Engineering at the school of Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science, University of Central Florida. I am associated with the Networking and Security Lab (NetSec).
Email: zubair [at] cs [dot] ucf [dot] edu
I am advised by Dr.
Ratan Guha.
My
primary
research interests lies in understanding the dynamics behind the growth
of Internet eXchange Points (IXPs) and the impact of this growth on
Internet topology evolution and inter-domain packet routing. Previously
I
have worked on designing communication protocols
and movement strategies for mobile sinks in sensor networks, congestion
avoidance/control in both sensor and
wired networks, routing in ad-hoc/sensor networks and the 802.11 MAC
protocol for ad-hoc networks.
I also work as a web application developer at the College of Graduate Studies, UCF.
My work here primarily involves designing and building websites using
ColdFusion, PHP, mySQL, JavaScript and AJAX among others.
I love heavy metal and play the lead guitars. A lot!
